In a brilliant interview Hughie Fury gives his very honest opinion on his nephew. http://news.boxrec.com/news/2012/exclusive-former-trainer-slams-fury’s-decision-swerve-price Full article there but basically he hammers Tyson about pretty much everything, saying he doesn't have much power, he doubts he'll ever get to world level, and he'll probably get sparked if he tries. He's right about most things as well, apart from David Price being a stiff who can punch, and its quite nice to get an insight to what Tyson is actually like as a person.
Guy sounds like a ****ing arsehole talking about his nephew like that. Bitter that Tyson doesn't want him, he calls him lazy and too hard-woirking in the same sentence and says a whole bunch of other dumb **** like "We effectively live in a racist country and if Tyson were to paint his face black or brown they’d ****ing love him."
“Most people are ****ed by what’s around them in boxing. I’d rather train a bantamweight who trains like an African slave and does his job right instead of some big, fat **** who’s 6’9". Thats one of the best rants ive heard in ages! Hughie didnt leave anything out there. cant see that interview being the end of this
Yeah I agree. Starts off really well but turns into a rant about everything, the language gets more colourful throughout as well haha
Reading between the lines, and Ive heard this before is that Tyson will leave it really late before starting training for a fight, and then try and do 8 weeks of training in 2/3 weeks. Hes always tomorrow, next week or whatever when it comes to starting preperations, realises how far behind he is and how bad he looks and then really overdoes it, meaning his tanks half empty come fight time
Ironic that he feels that the Britsh public are "racist" towards the traveller community but at the same time he seems to clearly harbour racist views himself. Don't know what to make of the article really as a lot of it seems to be a rant. If you're angry, you're rarely rational. It seems like they both have issues that need sorting out.
“I’d rather train a bantamweight who trains like an African slave and does his job right instead of some big, fat **** who’s 6’9". laughing my head off at this
He's basically summed up Fury's entire career perfectly 100%, well as close as you can get without mentioning scoffing boxes of cadburys celebrations along with 3 litres of brandy a week before a fight.
Fury's going nowhere unless he sorts his training situation out, his eating habits but most importantly his personal problems, depression/ his kids being ill. If that means giving up hisd titles, taking some time off then good. but the Fury who fought Pajkic was so ****, he was out of shape, had no authority with his jab, was even worse defensively than he usually is.
:nono Fury would have your head for that, any slob worth his weight knows Caburys doesn't make Celebrationts
