I thought that untill the McDermott fight where I thought he showed a bit of flexibility from the waist in delivering some of the shots.
fascinating interview there. I thought he spoke a lot of sense minus the part about African slave, and how Fury would be loved if he was black or Brown.
“I’d rather train a bantamweight who trains like an African slave and does his job right instead of some big, fat **** who’s 6’9". "Tyson’s wasting his talent. I don’t care if I offend the boxing establishment, the world establishment or the ****ing Queen. I’m a gypsy man who tells like it is and I don’t compromise for anyone” Real talk :deal That was a good interview, it was interesting to hear about Tyson's training habits.. Tyson’s issues aren’t down to how much he trains, it’s because he tries to do too much. He has to win every spar; if you tell him to go and do six rounds he wants to do 15. He’s self-conscious about his physique because that’s just the way he’s built, so he starts dieting and by the time he gets in the ring without proper supervision he’s ****ed. He can box but he’s got no brain when it comes to preparation.
Compare the performance against Pajkic to the Nascimento fight, both opponents were wildly throwing big, wide shots. Against the Brazilian he barely got caught; he blocked shots with his guard, he moved his head & used his feet to avoid all those big overhand swings. Against Pajkic he just walked straight onto them & didnt even see them coming.
Poor old Tyson, the week was bad enough without that... and this .... Id rather train a bantamweight who trains like an African slave and does his job right instead of some big, fat **** whos 69". i actually cried a little with laughter :rofl
****ing hell, guy slaughters Tyson there. I'd be careful to take everything at face value because of the risk of bitterness but theres likely to be an element of truth.
everybody knows the wheels are going to come off the tyson gravy train soon, its a shame because i like the lad and he is exciting to watch but he deosn't have the talent to win a belt, so there will be careful matchmaking until he steps up and gets beat, i wish him all the best though
