Yep, I'd much rather interesting fights were made boring or not, than these horrible one-sided mis-matches.
This will be a snoozer, yes. But should be an interesting one for the pure fans of the sport. Fury has a chance here against an aging Pulev. I assume Pulev edges this in front of his homecrowd but Hughie is a live underdog here.
Maybe the worst fight of the year. Hugh is going nowhere because he just doesn't have any power at all. Pulev hasn't cared about his career since Klitschko, and time has just about run out. I would be a bit surprised if either of these guys impacted the division.
Reasons to be cheerful... The IBF enforce their mandatories so this is for one of the biggest prizes in boxing, a shot at AJ. High stakes fight. Someone believes in Pulev enough to have won multiple purse bids against Matchroom et al. Unlikely they will see that back from one fight in Bulgaria. So they think he has enough left in the tank to get the job done. Hughie looked better in his last fight against Sexton. He's got some of that unorthodox Fury movement and skills, if he could up his power as he says he has then he could be a force in the division. He's travelling where Whyte and Miller feared to tread, so he deserves some support. It's free to watch on terrestrial tv. Good news for UK Fans and for those who want to see more people watching boxing.
A must see fight for guys that love all out brawls! 2 come forward type fighters with concussive punching power and less regard for defence. They also have a combined 100% KO rate, so a KO is almost guaranteed in this one.
I think fury needs to win big to win. There's gotta be a reason pulevs team are willing to spend more than it will make to get it on home turf. Said the same about team wilder and their magical offer to Joshua, they were so desperate to get the fight on home turf they were willing to offer an amount to Joshua they were struggling to find.
I'm very sceptical we will get a fair referee and that is essential for Fury to get a win. Obviously the judges have a big say but the ref in Pulev v Chisora was nothing short of corrupt.
I have a feeling Fury will stop Pulev. Then again, my feeling has been wrong on so many different occasions so it doesn't say much.
That's what made me pick Pulev in this fight, home advantage. If Fury fought at home he would have had a crooked referee like O'Connor of IJL to watch out for his best interests combined with matching judges.
Wrong. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...of-the-most-intriguing-fights-of-2018.616185/ I’ve been hyping this fight since it was made. It’s fight of the year. After this fight just watch how many bandwagoners jump on Hughie’s back.
Hopefully Hughie wins Do we really need 39 year old Pulev vs Joshua next year with @CST80 guaranteeing a pulev win before aj ktfo him in 6 rounds? Hughie may still have some upside so better him than poo lev
