Hughie fury vs Dominic guinn?? Dear oh dear...

im guessing thats because the money just isn't there. they should look to get Hughie big fights on Tysons cards where theirs more money floating about.

Guinn will go rounds... What's there to complain about? Certainly levels above Zarate or Olubamiwo. Kid is 21 and only has 18 pro fights... Cagey journeymen like Arias, and Guinn who will test him and give him rounds are the kind of fights he needs at this point. There's no need to rush him.

 

Give the guy a break, very young and unbeaten heavyweight, no1 will fight him unless they getting good money, give 18 months then if not fighting better opponents then make some noise

 

He's 40 years old and hasn't had a proper fight since 2013. What makes you think he'll be in any sort of condition to go rounds ?

 

My guess is TeamFury are trying to get him fights but don't want to spend. Fair enough, Hughie's 21, there's no rush. This seems like a 'stay busy' thing before they raise the bar a little again.
As AJ has shown, once you get real exposure there's no going back, best to keep HF ticking over till Tyson has done his business.

 

The Furys used to claim that Hughie would become the youngest ever heavyweight champion. Mike Tyson was 20 years, 4 months old when he won the title.

I get the part where he's young, shouldn't be pushed etc, but at the same time they were bigging him up with ridiculous claims of beating Tyson's record early in his career, and now talking about a top 10 opponent while in reality he's fighting an old sub top100 guy.

If they were just saying "he needs more experience" or "we're building him up first" then ok, but not go bloating and then come up with this.
It might very well be that they actualy tried to get a name, but then don't mention it unless it's actually signed.

 

If you're going to put a top ten HW's list together as Peter Fury did and then include Hughie and exclude Joshua, you cannot then continue to match Hughie against complete bums.

Let's be clear, they were never going to be fighting a top ten opponent. They have pulled the same routine as they always have in declaring a fight has been agreed and then subsequently telling us the opponent pulled out as they've changed their demands and they were unwilling to meet them.

Never once do they announce who this is, because it's a lie.
