Can you name me any significant fights ever made in Bulgaria where it wasn't just some guy there being paid to lose where it was expected to be competitive and so a robbery could be a possibility? But maybe you're right and we're all making assumptions. Maybe the fact Pulev went behind the back of his own promoter and did a deal with some small outfit isn't suspicious and maybe the bid that was almost double Hearn's and Kalle's was also perfectly straight and no deal was done as many assume to pay Pulev less so this small out fit and Pulev could artificially inflate a bid. And sure a study in 2016 named Bulgaria the most corrupt country in Europe, doesn't mean that they won't give Fury a fair shake against one of their biggest sports stars who's married to one of their most famous singers. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...residency-far-right-minority-parties-concerns https://www.business-anti-corruption.com/country-profiles/bulgaria/ I'm sure Bulgaria is a lovely country, only ever met one person from there and she seemed like a pretty decent person. But this is business and even if the risk is unwarranted it would be negligent of any promoter to accept a fight without making their fighter aware of the risks of some possible shenanigans and ensuring this is minimised. Fact is any fighter wanting this fight and agreeing to fight in Bulgaria will want some say in the officials for the fight, if that isn't on the table in negotiations or if the fight is forced to purse bids any fighter agreeing such terms is quite simply being reckless.
