He tested positive on the same day as Tyson, for the same drug, and was given a suspension the same time as Tyson, which was also lifted pending appeal when Tysons' was. His case in front of the NADP regarding his UKAD charges was heard originally on 6th November 2016 with a further hearing on 6th February 2017. These hearings were joint with Tyson and subject to the same reporting restrictions.

Who cares if Hughie took "performance enhancing" drugs (nandrolone) ?
It appears all it did for him was give him terrible boils on his skin. As everyone keeps noting, his power hasn't improved, and he has appeared sluggish in most of his longer fights.

He needs to get on the same stuff as AJ and Wladimir.

Thanks mate. One more daft question, but do we know why it was lifted pending the appeal?

It was the NADP that lifted the suspensions rather than UKAD, and every athlete who gets suspended has the right to appeal that initial until the case is heard in full. Only statement from them about it in the public domain appears to be this one:

I cannot even get past the "IF" in this question, because for me Parker goes through Hughie like a knife through hot butter.

I know a lot of British analysts really rate Hughie- but you must at least have a certain level of power- otherwise you will be walked down

     Joking?

It would be the best win by a current UK HW apart from Fury/Wlad. It would be a huge win, bigger than anything Joshua, Whyte, Chisora have ever done by far.

The OP asks if a win would make him no.1 heavy in Britain. My view is win or lose I still rate Joshua, Whyte and Chisora above him, whether they have better wins on their C.V or not.

Is that simply because you hate the Furys or is there some rational underlying ratings criteria at work ?

Fair enough. I think a win over Parker catapults him above Whyte and Chisora for sure. Even if he isn't as "good" as them. He has a style to beat Parker that's for sure, not sure Whyte or DelBoy do.

I keep reading about how good Hughie is on here but, when I've seen him, I've seen nothing special. That said, I'm not overly impressed by Parker either. Fast hands sure, but he seems to lack some basics.
Decent fight between two prospects, but with so many unproven fighters out there, there's a lot more fights to be had before the real pecking order can be established.

Parker for me will win, likely by KO mid to late. I just have seen nothing on Hughies record to suggest he should be getting a chance like this. Who has he beat? At least Parker has a few names, Takam for me is by far the standout. Would Hughie beat Takam? Really couldn't see it.

Ive said this many times but H Fury has the weakest punch I have seen for a while as a heavyweight. Dont get me wrong, there is some skills there, but I just cant see him travelling and getting the decision.

Plus Parker has very decent wins in Dimitrenko, Ruiz and Takam.
