You nailed it. Hughie has problems knocking the skin off of a rice pudding. Good boxer though. Maybe he should teach himself to plant his feet once a round and really unload. Mix a few big punches into that elusive boxing.

I don't think Hughie will pick up a title unless the belts fragment, but if he can improve even a decent amount he'll be a legit top conteder, Pulev level.

Yeah he needs a weapon to provide some threat which he lacks. He's not naturally heavy handed and all the constant movement means he doesn't plant his feet to create power on his shots but then if he sets his feet too much he loses his mobility.

I'd like to see him counter punch more, he almost never does it, he would greatly increase his power if he walked guys onto counters. Use his movement to draw them in and throw a hard counter but he doesn't seem to have that in his arsenal right now. He just leads, moves then leads again and throws in a clinch when he can't get out of the way. Without natural power he has to catch them coming in if he's to hurt them.

I've often questioned if Peter has only managed to get him to a certain level, and that a change of trainers and camp could help Hughie now. Maybe join the bandwagon in the Kronk style.

Hughie's still young in heavyweight terms but seems to have been around for ever.

He's stuck on his present Plato and really needs to change gear otherwise I can see him being around for a long time to come still but achieving nothing more per se.

Joyce has a far better jab and though much older will win better fights than Hughie in the next 5 years.

He would seriously benefit by doing some weight training!! His underdeveloped shoulders and arms on a big guy is painful to see. I've never seen it from a heavyweight boxer. Needs to seriously hit his upper body, he's quik and loose enough already. But heavyweight need power.

Heavyweights need strong robust muscles that can hold solid when landing big shots on behemoths, less to do with all out speed and snap in the lower weights.

What is it with you sucking off Gypsies and the Fury's? You must have low self esteem. Hughie aint gonna do ****! The guy you call the body builder will literally murder Hughie, you know, he knows, Peter and Hughie know it and the eworld knows it.

They had to downgrade Whyte to the baby sparring ring with a 17 year old Hughie in 2012 because Tyson battered him so badly

Hughie also got confused thinking he was sparring a heavybag

    I don't think he will.

    He's no Tyson.

Hughie has faced a lot of top level competition thus far, more so than many fighters older than him. He is very talented but has come up short when he's stepped up. If he can develop a more aggressive offense I think he could eventually pick up a belt or two.

Hughie has the power of Wilder with the movement of Ali, truly an unstoppable force.

Hughie lacks the confidence and self delusion of Tyson
