Couldn’t agree more. Mick should’ve got out of the game a long time ago.

It’s one way to get out of Tyson’s shadow to be fair , this is them being their own brand and not just Tyson Fury’s cousin. Don’t get me wrong , I think Hughie is awful right now but they’re doing the right things and giving it go - good luck to them.

Am not a big fan of Hughie, aside from him seeming like a nice fella, but his team made a bad call in the Pulev fight. Going into the fight everything was rosy, then he got the 2nd round eye injury and had to fight almost 10 rounds with one eye. Subsequently it was revealed he'd a cut to the eye in sparring which was stitched but didn't hold and then it was micro-stitched. The doctor who did it apparently stated it had a 50/50 chance of holding, though one of the team (not sure who it was) stated that it would burst as soon as Pulev caught it. They tried to postpone but Pulev's team were having none of it. Hughie would have lost his mandatory position, so they chose to say nothing and send him in and of course Pulev knew exactly where to hit him and the stitching burst immediately. They've probably put him back 18 months to 2 years, since he's had to drop back to fighting a bar room brawler and a broken down old man. Would agree with other comments about him being lined up with an easy one for Matchroom first, then someone like Price. He's not a fighter who thrills me but when you look at the current top 20 we've got Ortiz, Chisora, Pulev, Washington. Price, Povetkin and now uncertainty with Whyte, so that's a fair few at the back end or nearing the end of their career. He could well get into the top 10 since apart from Dubois there doesn't seem to be much new blood coming through. I'm not counting old man newbie Joyce :) or the unproven cruiserweights.

Good move for Hughie. I've always said he seems a decent guy and his career has been a farce.

He should of course be banned for life along with all other drug cheats including his cousin and Whyte. But we don't live in that world. Anyone who thinks this doesn't make sense needs their head testing.

Must have signed him to get the full rundown of how to excuse ped use on wild boars.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to Hughie v Dave Allen.

Let’s be honest here, Hughie is beyond British level now, realistically he should be fighting kabayal for euro or a solid American like Washington or Martin

As a Hughie supporter this is dissapointing?

The guy just fought Chris Norrad and Samuel Peter.Under Mick he gets nowhere.

Peter Fury has stated Hennessey will manage Hughie and will always be part of the team. I doubt he was maki g much uf anything promoting him but will as the manager.

Povetkin is a bit of a risk for Hughie in my opinion. Much more likely is two fights against gatekeepers and then a showdown with Price.
