Hughie is crazy for going to NZ. NZ has awful boxers, and they finally got one of the most prestigious belts in boxing, a HW world strap. They're not letting go of it unless Hughie knocks Parker out, or dominates Parker like Indongo did Burns.

It's true the NZ Boxing scene isn't huge, afterall we are a small nation of only 4.something million. Take away half the population (female), another 50% pensioners, A heap of kids, and you are left with about 6 Heavyweights. We tend to just excel in pretty much every other sport.

This shows exactly my point: http://www.greatestsportingnation.com/content/new-zealand-sportiest-nation-earth-2016

Regardless your post reeks of snob. Duco won the purse. NZ is the home country of the WBO belt holder. The hint of "dodgy refs" by saying Hughie has to KO Parker has well and truly been debunked.

Crawl back into your hole Mr "ESB's Most Unbiased Poster".

I didn't say he has to ko him, he either has to ko him or dominate him like Indongo did to Burns.

NZ as an Aussie is like our cousin...we hate that they now have better boxers & will probably school us in rugby forever...but NZ having corrupt judges - I highly doubt it. Two young hungry men who are undefeated - the judges I think will be fair if it makes it that far. So pumped for this fight!

We currently have a few promising heavyweights in NZ. Junior Fa and Hemi Ahio are starting out pretty good and hopefully can have good careers like Joe. However Australian boxing have all the divisions, under heavy, over NZ. I think the numbers, the systems and the coaching in Australia is slightly ahead of us and this can be seen in the amateur games. Jeff Horn is probably the best boxer of all Josephs undercards when compared to other kiwi boxers. He just stands out.

Whats the deal with Sonny Bill Williams? Is he a novelty act or do you think he can take boxing seriously after Rugby. Seen his fight against Botha and he looked raw.

True, but I'd take one Joseph Parker over all their Mundine's and Green's etc. :)

I think he is very talented physically, but will never take boxing seriously enough to become much more than a novelty act. It's already more or less too late IMHO as he's 31, and you're right that he has not got the technical skills to become a top boxer.

He's a rugby player not a full fledged boxer. I think he's fighting another league player named Paul Gallen who loves to box and is quite the athlete himself. Thats not till the end of the year.
