Hughie is a likeable chap, doesn't have the charisma of his cousin and maybe not the sharpest (lions nest?:dunno) but always seems very positive and shows respect to his opponents and would-be rivals. Hope he can do the business on Parker and I am fairly confident he will, another great match up to look forward to, I love 2017.

That interview was done on April 8th though.

I'm hoping the fight will go ahead. For Hughie's sake. He definitely wants to fight.

2 weeks out and still silence. It ain't happening - this is blatantly obvious. Every protocol in the book in promoting a fight (nevermind for the heavyweight championship of the world) has been missed.

Well its all a bit strangely quiet for a title fight 2 weeks away, but at the same time i have heard or read nothing to suggest there is anything to worry about, ive listened to some podcasts that have discussed it and there hasnt been a single mention of this not happening. Only thing ive seen is a couple of internet based posts that have no sources.

It sounded as though Hughie said gonna go to the Lion "Next".

In other words hes going to New Zealand to take the belt from a young hungry lion, Joe Parker

Yes, but remember that Team Fury do not care how the fight sells as Duco and Top Rank get 100% of the revenue from which they have to pay the fighters and everyone else. They will be lucky to break even IMHO. So there's little motivation for the Fury's to actually promote this.

And the Fury's have already contacted at least one NZ sparring partner, so I wouldn't get too worried if I were you.

I still cant get over you saying David Price was unbeatable (or something along those lines) and this his very next fight he gets knocked.

Parker arrived in NZ today from LA, two weeks as usual before his fight
In his conference he did say it was strange that Fury wasn't here and mentioned the jet lag factor.
Apparently fury is down to do a press conference in Wednesday in Auckland so he had better start thinking about getting that ass on a plane

Interviewer and Fury talking as though this is just a small speed bump - looking past Joe Parker is a foolish mistake, I hope they get to feast on humble pie.
