I'm with you on this one, really good post.

It's always seemed fairly clear to me that Kalule's wheels, work rate and smooth technical precision make him a bad matchup for just about any boxer-mover/cutie, especially those without the two-fisted power that was necessary to really hurt him. He pinned the likes of Seales and Finnegan down with ease and even past his best managed to combat Kalambay - a better pure boxer, puncher and all-round middleweight than Corro - on a near-even keel. I can't see how Corro would step in to punch with him, earn his respect and push him on to the back foot. Even in the event of him being to slow Kalule down to a degree, I still think he'd struggle to parry/slip everything that Kalule threw at him and come back with enough good work on the counter. It was the big hitting boxer-punchers that got to Kalule, and he was usually weight-drained when it happened.

    11-4, 10-5ish decision to Kalule I'd say.

Are you suggesting Corro was better than Leonard?

That's it? Marco Geraldo, whom Leonard fought early in his career when he was a welter? And that is the basis for Corro is better than Leonard? C'mon man, you can do better than that. Actually i don't even know why i involved myself in this because I don't like Leonard (but will never say anything bad about his talent) and always thought that the only thing Corro brought to the table was a cure for insomnia. I should have just said Kalule W15 Corro and got off of the thread.
