But yeah, Green has boxing skills, I mean ****, you don't get as far as he has without them. They're just not as good as some other boxer's.

It's because he was KOing most of his earlier opponents and earned the title of hardest punching SMW 2 years running in the Ring mag that he is known as a big puncher only.

He's got a lightning fast ramrod straight jab when he uses it, that can't be denied.

But yeah obviously Green has some decent boxing skills.And as you said he wouldnt be where he is today if all he had was a big punch.

I still stand by my prediction that Green is gonna blast holes in Garay. Garay loves to stand and trade as does Green but there the man with the better skills will win :deal

He looks pretty good, Shane Mosley-esque. My prediction is if this guy has a good chin he is gonna tear Green up, stopping him. You heard it here first.

First up, if you were thinkin hes just going to be another Argentinean cabbie coming over here for a free holiday, then think again, because that couldnt be further from the truth.

Hes an extremely aggressive fighter who comes forward non-stop and loves to go to the body with a viscous left rip. Hes got fast hands, a decent jab and can punch in combinations.
Both hands have knock out power and nearly every punch he throws is intended to do some damage. Although most of his punches are thrown a bit wide, its not like hes just wingin it hoping to connect, he knows where they are going and rarely misses badly.
His defense is pretty good also, he keeps his hands high and doesnt get hit as much as youd think for such an aggressive fighter, and even when he does get caught with a good shot he doesnt seem too affected and just keeps coming forward.

I think Danny is going to be in for the fight of his life against this fella and going from the 5 fights Ive seen, including his second fight with Erdei, (which I think he won clearly), I dont think theres any doubt that Garay is the better fighter of the two.

In saying that though, Im not counting Green out of this one at all, I think hes wanted and needed a fight like this his whole career. Dannys a born fighter, but I think that has been slowly trained out of him over the last few years in an attempt to make him a boxer. This fight is going to bring out the mongrel in Danny, Garay will make sure of that and win or lose, I think this will be Greens defining fight.

But anyway, no matter who wins this one, theres no doubt that its going to be a great action fight. It's the best match-up we've seen in Australia for a very long time and Ill be really surprised if it goes the distance.
