In regards to your first question,of course it didn't have any impact the only impact Garay's last fight had was showing you and a few other forum members how limited Garay is:hi: People who had watched and studied Garay new he was a perfect opponent for Danny with his walk up style lack of handspeed and lateral movement. As for Tarver he did back out of the fight:deal Danny agreed to the first contract and then they sent back another contract this time cutting out the airfares and hotel expenses. Danny agreed to the reduced offer and was told they would have a contract faxed to him the next day,a month and a half later they still hadn't recieved the contract. Now you crap on about how Tarver had the balls to fight Dawson twice well he got his arse kicked on both occasions and i just think he thought he's better off risking losing to a big name U.S fighter and earn a **** load of cash rather than risking losing to a aussie fighter who stuff all people know in the states and for a much smaller purse let alone the fact that a loss against Danny would of ruined any chance Tarver had of getting big money fights in the future.
Noone was saying that Garay was p4p material. They were just implying that Green had reason to fear him, and considering that Green got beat by Markus Beyer twice, I think thats fair enough. My take is that Tarver backed out of the fight because Green was simply insignificant and offered very little to him. I sense the same thing will happen with RJJ, as I really can't see him fighting Green in Melbourne. The fact that he fought Dawson twice shows that he does in fact have balls. Far more balls that Danny. Theres a reason why Danny didn't make a run for the WBC 175 title, and Dawson is why. While it was the easiest way to a WT at 168, it wasn't the case at 175. Sorry mate, but it's laughable to say that Tarver has no balls because he turned down an insignificant fight with Green, yet not long afterwards, he takes on Chad Dawson twice. Backing out of a Green fight to take on Dawson is just a tad better than backing out of a Garay fight while surrendering your belt, only to then take on Vankneequerk Whats your thoughts on Green's retirement anyway? He retired because he didn't want to be one of those boxers that fought one too many fights, and because he wanted to enjoy quality time with his family, yet now he's back again? Has his love for his family suddenly taken a backseat to other plans he has? I seem to remember him saying something like money wasn't everything, and couldn't be compared to family.
Tarver backed out of the Green fight because the risk reward ratio was ****. Dawson is a decent name and had a title, two things Green didn't/don't have. It was not about the size of each mans genitalia. But Tarver, even though he made the right decision, ultimatley backed out, not Green. Green would have handled Garay with ease. He had the right style for Green and it would have been a great fight, but to say Green was scared of this dude, **** me.. Green fights for the money. That is also why I go to work each morning. Shock horror. As for his new calibre of opponents, I'm pretty letdown as a former green machine fan, but he can fight who he wants and if I don't like it I just simply won't tune in and I'll tell other people not to bother either. I have tried not to drop the M-bomb but these guys are becoming the same person. Bitching is fuelling their respective careers.
Blah blah anyone who studied Garay knew he had the perfect style for Danny Blah blah everyone knows Tarver backed out of the fight with Danny This and that with the contract rather than risk losing to the Aussie superman that is Danny Green he fought Dawson.Lets put aside your thoughts and your supposed inside info and deal with facts Tarver lost to Dawson and Hopkins Green lost to Boom Boom Beyer and was arse raped 11 rounds to 1 by Mundine Oh but he thinks he won the second fight with Beyer and claims he had to cut 3kg of muscle mass to make SMW before he got starched by Mundine.Thats why he moved to LHW not because he lost to the most **** weak title holder in SMW Marcus Beyer and was arse raped by the guy he called a Tic tac heart. Ladies and Gentleman Gavin Stone has been dethroned we have a new nut hugger king on the Aussie ESB forum representing Perth WA left jab Danny :happy
If you take the 'ar' out of his last name it makes 'Gay'...that plus his first name 'Hugo' screams queeniness
It was always going to happen though, and only suffers of severe nuthugitis like left jab would see the failed deal as Tarver not having the balls to fight Green. Tarver also backed out of a Briggs fight where he surrendered his WBC title for the sake of making $800,000 more by fighting (and ultimately losing to Johnson). There'd be a better case saying that he was scared of Briggs, though I still don't believe that this is the case, just that he was after bigger fights, although IMO, he still should have valued his title more. If you put the 'left jab danny' thinking on a Mundine fan, you could say that Ottke was afraid of fighting Mundine in Australia because he turned down a 1 million dollar contract to fight Mundine in Sydney. You could also say that Calzaghe was afraid of Mundine for not accepting the pathetic deal he offered to Calzaghe. Sounds pretty laughable, doesnt it. Hugo Gay
As if Garay had anything to do with Green retiring! Anyone who knows anything about Danny Green would know that his wife was the reason he retired. And why is he back now, because she saw what a moping, lost puppyhe was around the house when he didn't have anything to do. Thus, she gave him the green light (excuse the pun) to get back in the ring again. As much as she doesn't want him to fight and end up a vegetable, him not fighting and being bored shitless around the house was making him unhappy and in turn, her unhappy which was worse.
i agree wholeheartedly mate but then again i think the fact that mundine dropping to middleweight had nothing to do with the fact that kessler became his mandatory.we should start a gang called the gullible ****s achillies:good
Calzaghe did duck Mundine , Mundine said so on the footy show when he was talking to that ******ed fella on there so it must be true . STIFFLER can i join Da club ?
Hell i have been chatting to Josh Clottey on facebook & i challenged him...but he instead went & fought Cotto for bigger money...he damm avoided me.:yep
