    A few months late on this but still worth mentioning. July 15 of 1995 was when Chiquita Gonzalez took on Saman Sorjaturong. Gonzalez, always the entertaining warrior, would end up being dethroned in a FOTY war. This would be the final fight for Chiquita before retiring but what a blood curdling battle it turned out for as long as it lasted.

    This fight deserves more love. Probably not as memorable as Gonzalez vs Carbajal 1 but definitely just as thrilling. 1995 really had some excellent bouts that year such as this, Holyfield vs Bowe 3, Williams vs Sosa 1, Kelley vs Gonzalez, Benn vs McClellan, Carr vs Coley, Pendleton vs Lopez, Brown vs Pettway, McKart vs Davis.
