Gaudet is very quick and have very good footwork but no power in his punch + he has Amir Khan type of chin. This is a total missmatch on paper, like Abraham vs Demers or Cotto vs Décarie (in the making), but you can't say no to a title shot. Gaudet is a former olympian, same year as Pascal. I though that he had a better future than Pascal because he obv won the first olympic round + lost a controversial decision in the second round (to the bronze medalist) while Pascal didn't won the first round. Gaudet simply didn't adjust enough in his pro career. Anyway, sorry for my english heh, Gaudet is very skilled, im not going to be that surprise if he does a Guzman type of performance. Well see.
Cotto-Decarie is not in the making. GYM is not stupid enough to push Decarie's status as the highest ranked fighter in the WBO ranking. They know he would get murdered by Cotto. As far as Gaudet is concerned. Very skilled fighter. 11 times national champion in the amateur ranked. Won a bronze medal in the world championship. But unfortunately, like someone said previously, he has a weak chin. I can't see him win that fight unless he pulls a masterpiece out of his ass.
If Soto catches Gaudet with a solid shot it might not be pretty. Then again, if Gaudet does a Guzman then he might win it. Not a lot of people can fight on the run like Guzman though.
Gaudet does nothing special. He is just ok in every department. Soto will knock him out but to say Soto is top20 material is way off base.
