he hasnt fought any1 no 1 hes only been put to the test once and it wasnt the type of performance to consider him having the above attributes, against mosquera he was throwing everything at him and the only reason he managed the stoppage was because mosquera gassed out may be u should watch the fight and see how crude his fighting style if he fights recklessly against soto he'll be stoped in a few rounds his power is exaggerated

he hasn't really fought elite fighters but soto isn't elite. however his talent can be seen. it is possible that it is looking exaggerated due to competition but he is a 2 weight champ so there is some proof.

Valero has looked crude but in his last fight he looked devastating like pacman.

it's a 50-50 fight but i still think valero has the talent and soto the toughness. who can enforce those qualities!

You better believe that Soto is an elite fighter at Super Featherweight. A case can be made for him being the best 130lbs out there, actually. I think he would beat Guerrero, Martinez, and we don't even know if Linares ever intends to fight someone of any quality. Soto's win over Juarez is infinitely more impressive than anything on Valero's resume. We know who is more proven at the top level. Humberto Soto.

His second round destruction over Pitaula was somewhat impressive, but it ended so quickly that we didn't really have a chance to guage just how talented Valero is. I've seen a few of his fights, and he really had to go to well to beat Mosquera, who isn't a terribly great fighter himself. Edwin remains unproven up to this point, and I think his defensive flaws would be capitalised on by an experienced tough guy like Humberto Soto. Only time will tell.

Humberto has some talent. He puts punches together pretty well, too body and head, and his toughness will always make him a factor no matter who he is fighting at 130lbs or 135lbs. Soto is the kind of fighter to have most of his problems with a Guzman, an illusive target. Valero likes to stand in front of his opposition and wing punches because he is so confident of the knockout. That isn't the best strategy against Soto, who is a pretty big Super Featherweight.

I look forward to the fight happening.

Soto could be considered the best because the division has weakened with so many top fighters leaving. Martinez and Guerror are pretty poor kings for a division. Hardly PAc, MAB, JMM etc

I agree his hands are low and head up. He fights like it's Karate but in boxing he could get caught with that style.

Soto is a good old mexican but has nothing striking. His good point is he is solid in terms of technique i.e. hands up, good punches. Valero has talent but it's made him flawed.

Guzman is elusive but Valero is light on his feet.

Talented and flawed or tough and technically sound. It's interesting.
