He did box well on the outside his shots seemed to lack power although his jab worked well I don't think he hurt kotenlnik. I hope he doesn't call jmm of floyd out now he lacks the power tohurt either of them. I also find it hard to take him as a world champ he shouldn't of got that shot he had never faught at the weight and was sparked in the first round 2 fights ago he got the shot because of his hype and warren which is wrong youshould earn your shot
Well done for eating your humble pie. But it's the others which really grip my ****. The ones who have called Amir Khan a china chin joke for the last three years, constantly predicted him getting KOd rubbing their hands in glee. After the Prescott defeat they pissed their pants in excitement, told everyone how right they were and how Khan could never win a world title. The same ones who bad mouth Hatton, and predicted losses for him continually after the Tszyu fight, continually moaning about 'ducking' junior witter to this day. Some British people are just naturally averse to supporting their fighters, and love to see them fall flat on their face and kick them while they're down. Well done Amir for proving this clique of 'boxing fans' wrong, and pissing them off in the process. :happy
I was right, about everything other than the fact I said Khan would stop Kotelnik late. I even said Khan's punch resistance would be better at 140, and the chances are I was right about that too. History shows I'm very good at being right.
I changed my prediction at the last minute on a hunch from khan UD to kotelnik KO. How i have been shown the error of my ways.
well done khan. considering he'd been getting KD'd by blown up superfeatherweights i really didn't think he'd cope with a natural fringe world level lww. i'm happy to be proven wrong in this case. great performance.
I bet for Khan to win in round seven, but that was just a little fool around bet. I thought Khan would win by stoppage after the second part of the fight or by UD. Khan's chin got caught a few times cleanly and he took them well. I don't beleive he has a china chin, I think it was the weight that was the real problem. Although I still don't think he's a Jake LaMotta though!
I'd put Khan in the same level as Juan Diaz.... but not Marquez, Pacquiao or Mayweather though.... as long as he progresses however, then who am I to say how good he'll get.
Well I wasnt joining in with the Khan slanging beforehand but I have to say I thought he would gas a bit and get stopped late. I was a little disappointed with Kotelnik though as he didnt put on enough pressure to make it happen but fair play to Khan he fought well. The increase in weight seems to have helped his punch resistance. Perhaps maturity is helping there too as he's still young and getting stronger. As for teh 108-120 score from one judge.... what a ****ing joke.
