Humble yourself time : What fights have you predicted, and got badly wrong?

    We've all got egos. :)oops:)

    Time to own up, what fights have you been sure of, and gotten badly wrong?

    My own :

    Toney vs Lebedev = I thought Toney would UD him. Lebedev punched wide and I fully expected Toney to win via countering up the middle.

    Cotto vs Pacquaio = I expected Cotto to dictate behind the jab, and knock Pacquaio out via a body shot late in the fight.

    Marquez vs Pacquaio 3 = I thought the added weight and age would equte to Marquez getting knocked out.

    Hopkins vs Dawson 2 = I thought that Nard would of learned enough in their very brief first fight to take advantage of Dawson's flaws.

    I usually make it a point to not predict fights.

    That said, I thought Chad would have had a decent chance against Ward and Khan would UD Garcia.

    That's not a bad pick, I don't think. Winky would have beaten Hopkins if he was in better shape and that's something we didn't know would happen. At 160, I see Winky taking a UD, about 8-4 or 7-5.

    Morales getting destroyed in 5 by Maidana.
    Hopkins dominating Dawson.
    And my favorite one was Katsidis KOing Burns in 3. Saw that **** in a dream.

    My most awful prediction was Hatton-Pacquiao. More recently I got Hopkins-Dawson badly wrong.

    Marquez-Pac III. I thought Pac was going to light him up and maybe stop him. I never expected Marquez to actually deserve the decision.

    Hopkins-Pavlik. I though Kelly would out work him, not be completely outboxed and ultimately have his career set completely off track by the 43 year old Bernard.

    Yeah but Hopkins dominated the fight. I didnt think Wright was going to get manhandled the way he did since he is quite big and strong himself.

    Morales v maidana - i thought erik was getting kod within 3. But no one should ever **** off our lord


    Marquez pac 3- i thought the added weight and age would finally give us a clear winner... And it did... Marquez got robbed on my cards

    I thought Mosley was going to win against Pac in exciting fashion

    I made another mistake when I thought Mosley would beat up on Canelo as well

    also thought Berto was going to KO Ortiz

    and I prolly would of bet my life that Kirkland was going to do work on Ishida
