    I've honestly not heard that much hype around either, and I don't think many would rank them above mid. Wallin has a couple of decent wins against Gassiev and Breazeale but has looked awful in recent outings, while Hunter's best win was against a man with a dislocated shoulder.

    Maybe not hype so much as misplaced faith. There was a time where it wasn't uncommon to see a slew of "Wallin vs." threads on the 1st page of the forum...matching him up with the likes of Usyk, Wilder, Joyce, Dubois, Whyte, Pulev, etc. - and even against historical greats. Ever since the Fury loss his name has been getting bandied about like he's a perfectly valid card to draw for any HW to have a tough night simply because "large southpaw".

    As for Hunter, even with his IBA Pro loss earlier this year and not having a meaningful victory since Kuzmin over 6 years ago, there remains this unwavering belief that he's one good performance/result away from deserving (and being a live dog in) a title shot.
