Hunter now interested in Bridgerweight

Thats a horrible idea. All the current CWs would most likely be forced to move up or cut down and lose power

 

Hunter has become a total *****.

 

The bolloxweight title is even less meaningful than the WBA "regular" poundland trinket.

I used to really like Hunter but he seems to have given up all ambitions in the last year.

 

I completely agree with you, it would force the best cruisers to go straight to HW, they wouldn't bother with bridgerweight because they'll be fighting 224 pounds men there anyway and the big money is at HW, so what's the point...

 

It would ruin one of the best divisions in boxing.

 

Don't really like this for him as I personally think he's a top 5ish HW, but if he can nab the BW title and go back to HW to use it as a bargaining chip, so be it.

 

Exactly - and exactly why it's beginning to become a thing, just as cruiser was inserted at one time also.

 

Or bridger would get the best current cruisers, with some moving up to CW that otherwise might not.

It's a shakeup, not the end of the world.

And it makes sense to insert it just as it did when cruiser started - it won't be a shitshow forever.

 

They'll also need to add junior- and super-bridgerweight. Preferably with four belts in each new division.

 

Sure seems like he's letting his believers down lately.

Bridgerweight is an even bigger joke division than boozerweight. They should all be heavies (or else smaller cruisers should be light heavies).
