    you guys do realize that Oscar is now floating things out there like "canelo would beat Floyd in a rematch"...and things of that nature...and theres still cotto hanging around

    Oscar is no lock to be making ggg/canelo in September....basically...ggg is still sniffing canelos panties without getting in them

    Ward vs GGG is as pointless as Floyd vs GGG.....

    As fans we need to move on, all I want to see is a rematch between Ward & SK....its obvious Kovalev is the only fighter within Ward's weight that can trouble him. I could careless about the conspiracy theories though they may very well exist.

    I think Ward was a big SMW and kind of grew out of the 168 weight class. Also, there are a lot more fights at LHW: kovalev, Beterbiev, Adonis, Smith, E Alvarez, Gvozdyk, Jack, some others that I don't remember. LHW is stacked. 168 has Ramirez, Eubanks, Degale and Dirrel bros. stronger opponents are at LHW hands down. I'm not sure if Ward can handle all those guys at 175. Ward is good but the talent up there is heavy. Maybe he can do catch weights and fight guys from both weight classes since he has the name. The problem is he has no full to bring in money for the networks.
    GGG on the other hand has maybe 3 more fights in MW: Jacobs, Sanders, Canelo. Then he will move up and fights Eubanks or Degale. By then he will be 37 or 38. He can then just fight guys for big money at catch weights.

    Between Ward and GGG, the only one that has mentioned anything about retirement is Ward. GGG has said he is tired but not enough to retire. If they both keep fighting maybe they will meet in 3 years when they are both passed their primes and HBO has new stars to milk.

    What's that got to do with the thread topic? But yeah. Quite probably he would have lost to Ward and Canelo was definitely the far more attractive option - both lower risk and higher reward - and it seemed (at the time) entirely possible it'd get made. And sure ... you think it's not a good look? Fair enough - vote with your wallet, man. No-one's forcing you to watch Golovkin fight.

    This might sound off beat but I think the Charlo brother that just moved into MW would have a better chance vs GGG when compared to Jacobs, Saunders and Canelo. He has real power, seems disciplined, sharp, well coached big for SWW/MW and durable.

    oh ill watch him fight...hes a good fighter.....and im a boxing fan...i dont not watch guys because i disagree with their career choices.....

    i just want to make sure you give a pass to every other fighter who chooses more money with the least amount of risk....make sure you hold everyone to the same standard

    and as ive said....oscar is floating floyds name out there....there is still cotto rematch....there will be others that emerge.....it will be almost two years , in september of this year, since golovkin rebuffed ward...if he doesnt have canelo signed and delivered by then it will be a complete waste.....theres no guarantee ggg chasing canelo has an end in sight.....at what point to do you give up? well at this point ggg cant give up because hes already wasted too much time on a career window that could be closing soon

    yeah

    so when is ggg/canelo? did i miss the first one? are we awaiting a rematch?

    since ggg rebuffed ward....ward has fought 3 times including a huge victory over an unbeaten, and top 5 p4p, lhw......meanwhile ggg is about 35 and hes still at least two fights away from completing his "dream" of unifying

    im not sure why golovkin fans keep running their mouths so i have to keep pointing out these obvious deficiencies and descrepancies

    its like ggg is chasing this really hot chick hes had a crush on for years....shes the hottest in town....not only is she solvent but she makes more money than him........meanwhile hes had some other good looking broads with solid jobs he could have settled down with and started a family.......but he wont take no for an answer even though shes never put out or even agreed to a date.....and hes still hoping maybe one day when she'll give in but by then ggg might not even be able to get hard and his looks will be gone...and ggg isnt exactly mr charming

    also this chicks dad keeps trying to fix his daughter up with some more well known guys in town

    its a reall great story though...if ggg can come through maybe theyll make a movie about it with ryan gosling

    His handspeed and reach are all wrong for Ward imo, I think he'd get boxed at range and struggle to get inside.
