Well at least you can admit it i guess. Not sure why youd single G out of the landscape that is boxing today as if hes being handled much differently. Hes a fighter staying in the weightclass hes most suited for and on the verge of his biggest fights. He avoided Ward because hes not a super middleweight and he would have lost regardless. Why leave your division you make comfortably for a fight that takes your 0 at a weightclass you dont belong and ruin what youre doing at your own division?

Jacobs Canelo Charlo Eubank Saunders are all reasonably good or fun fights on the probable horizon in his own division... i dont get why people cant just sit back and enjoy watching a good fighter clean out his division without this constant a.d.d need for them to always move up before they actually outgrow their weightclass.

Once G has the defense record, has cleaned out his division, has his payday and defining fight against canelo, he will move up... hopkins was damn near 40 years old and didn't move up til back to back losses and finally struggling to make the weight until he moved up. Most fighters move up because they are legitimately having trouble with weight and dont have career high paydays on their doorsteps.

People just need to relaxe a bit and have a little realistic perspective here.

Indeed. Apparently I'm a GGGroupie now. Quite how I became one for opining that both Ward and HBO (and indeed Golovkin and everyone else in the sport) are merely pursuing their own interests escapes me right now, but hey, I always wanted to be part of a team. It makes me feel all warm inside.

I do agree that would be a good fight but he needs to prove himself at MW first, then take on the king pin. For GGG it's probably better to take him on now since he is still green. Kind of like how Floyd took on Canelo early. Smart move

GGG should hire you as an adviser....seriously I think that's optimal, once Charlo get's acclimated I could see him being a problem at 160 lbs. When he campaigned at 154lbs he seemingly improved his overall game in every fight, he may very well mirror that trend at a MW. GGG would do himself a huge favor by taking him out now as opposed to 2 years from now when he's 36 and Charlo is primed and ready to grab that proverbial passing of the torch.

u might think that charlo needs to "prove" himself at mw first...but when did Rosado prove himself first?

while ideally they might wanna jump on charlo now...it wouldn't be the best look since that would fly in the face of what they told lara to do....it would look like they were certainly ducking lara.....not that k2 and ggg are worried about how things look...they are given a pass for everything

If Charlo obtains a belt before 2018 or mid 2019 and GGG is still at MW he would be wise to fight Charlo before he's had 3 fights at MW. That's just my opinion, I'm not 100% sure where your going with your thoughts but I'd imagine you feel GGG would rather take on a green Charlo vs. a properly adjusted one.

well I was taking it as next after Jacobs...or even by the end of the year...u might be thinking a little later...

if charlo was next that wouldn't be a good look as he told lara to get in line and earn it at 160...and charlo wouldn't have earned anything by the time ggg/Jacobs was over....or even by the end of the year really
