    hearing a lot of talk
    Might be signed
    What do you guys think?

I think lara outclasses him something like 10-2 or 9-3

I think Hurd is to slow and Lara isn’t gonna front run like trout and gas late.

Is this a possible canelo dec though?

Kinda thinking(hoping) that it ends up like Lara vs Angulo.
I dont care for either of the two so as long as one of them takes a brutal loss, i am fine.

Lara hits a little too hard for Hurd to just walk through his punches, he was clearly being affected by Trout's limited power, and lost the first 7 rounds easily, Lara should win 9-3 or 7-5. Although if he manages to see the final bell, I have a bad feeling we might see one of those patented Haymon screw jobs on the American Dweam.

The smart money is on Lara by decision but I do think Hurd might be getting to Lara at the right time who hasn’t really had a competitive fight since Canelo. Hurds youth size & power might get him the win.

Lara is too good for Hurd. Hurd beat a shot Austin Trout, but even in that fight he was wide open to counters that Lara will exploit all fight. I'm also not sold on Hurd's stamina. If Lara puts in a solid effort he should get the stoppage.

This is a dangerous fight for Lara. He has to gain Hurd’s respect early and make him hesitant to fight downhill, like he seems to do.

The other thing he has to do is use lots of footwork to constantly turn Hurd. This way he cannot set to punch, stays off balance, and becomes a largely ineffective arm puncher.

If Lara’s at 90% or better, I believe he can do it. At the same time, Hurd is a physical marvel. I don’t see how he makes 154. I thought Andrade was big at the weight, but Hurd has him beat and seems a lot thicker. The dude’s head alone is bigger than a Strawweight. He looks like an Easter Island statue with boxing gloves.

Hurd has dispayed knack for making repeated contact even in the rounds he's lost up over the last couple of fights; and once he starts to find a groove (any groove) he becomes very difficult to dissuade. Lara needs to get his respect early and then use a lot of movement to prevent Hurd from making consistent contact against him, because if he doesn't, those glancing blows will still find a way to have an affect upon Erislandy.

I think Hurd finds a way to make this very interesting down the stretch. Dude doesn't allow himself to get side-tracked easily and tends to take heart from and builds upuon even minor success that he enjoys.

Calling it now...I think Hurd scores the upset.

He might win a quantity-quality decision that many feel he might not deserve or he might simply grind Lara down and overtake him legitimately on the card or stop him late. Either way, I think Hurd is all wrong for an iteration of Lara that has faced undersized, under-powered or just simply timid opposition as of late. Hurd has his flaws, but none of those adjectives apply to him at present.

Could have gone either way. Lara better comes in shape.
Or big pineapple head will pummel him in the later rounds.

dumb decision by hurd unless he thinks lara is slipping... lara should school hurd 10-2 or 9-3 at worse. hurd has power but is there to be outboxed very easily by a semi elite boxer.

I think this is dangerous timing for Lara.

He's had a cake schedule these last few years, and while he's the more skilled fighters, Hurd has the right blend of attributes to stop him late- even if Erislandy is leading wide at the time. Dangerous fight, but a really interesting one.
