When are people gonna stop with this crap? Every single world class boxer outside of HW fights at the lowest weight they are comfortable at. There's no unfair 'advantage'.

Yep. But boxers haven't always had efficient weight cutting PEDs at their disposal either. Nor have the weigh-ins always been held the day before the fight.

Monzon was bigger than a lot of the guys he faced. Like, clearly; and he made a habit out of using that size advantage to break down his challengers as the fight went on. Fighters have been using their advantage in size to dominate throughout the history of the sport. This ain't new.

But even in the same day weigh in era, there were guys who were clearly bigger than their opponents come fight time. Monzon and Bazooka Gomez are two that come to mind.

Whats wrong with using his size to his advantage? He weights in the same as his opponents. Every fighter will look for an advantage over his opponent and Hurd is no different.
That size advantage wouldn't have helped him against a prime Lara who had a pair of legs under him. It won't help him against Brook who will sharp shoot his stationary head clean off.

Margarito had a ridiculous size advantage over Pacman. So what?

Until he struggles to make weight more power to him. The most unprofessional thing one can do is fail on the scale IMO

Stop Chavez Jr never got close to beating a Trout/Lara type talent. And don't bring up Lee, because he ain't on that level.
