Well Hearn has issued several open invites (bordering on public begging) for US fighters to come to him. I think Hurd demolishes him. If Brook has any regard for his health and his eyesight, he should steer clear of the 154 champions.
I don't think he needs to beg. Fighters and managers would of been told prior to last week but NDA's would of kept them quiet. Considering they are running a show in September there is no doubt Hearn would of been talking to fighters well in advance.
Brook caught a horrible break this month when Beefy Smith got hurt. There's a very good chance that Beefy would have beaten Ali, which could have setup a Smith-Brook matchup in the UK for the WBO belt. And obviously, Brook would easily beat Smith. Now he's **** outta luck for a belt, as Munguia, Hurd, and Charlo would all stop him.
Brooks one of those guys that doesn't fit a weight class. He looked in great nick at 154 but in reality, he's dwarfed by some of the guys there now, they are monsters in comparison. Suprised they are targeting Brook must see it as an easy win
Brook saw the fight live and said afterwards he was shocked how big Hurd was in the ring. Kell should not look to this fight. Hurd is way too big.
What's with the urge to have fighters not take fights. Yes hurd is huge compared to Brook but man I ain't begging for Brook to not fight him. I want to see good fighters face each other and if this could be done then it's all good.
Shows how brook’s stock as a feared fighter has fallen, Hurd basically indicated they wanted a soft touch before the charlo fight and now to hear he is targeting brook shows what his camp think of him. Damaged goods.
This. Hurd isn't that skilled, but he would badly hurt Brook. Brook missed the boat on fighting Sadam Ali, who in was never worthy of holding a world title and was easy pickings against any top fighter at 154. Brook's next target should be JRock, who I think Brook would easily beat and than wait around to fight for a vacant title, which should happen very soon.
Seems Brook is carrying with him an image of fragility nowadays. But he gave both GGG and Spence their toughest fights, for how long it lasted. And i reckon he's live with just about anyone at Super welter: if he could land on Spence, he sure as hell will land on Hurd.
