A view held by many. I purposefully didn't see the film because I'd heard it was a crock.

If you take it as pure fiction its excellent. Denzel a G

I was looking for the real story, or at least one that resembled the real story. So I avoided what they made, even though it sounds like it might have been entertaining.

Thick as thieves or in this case thick as fellow killers.

  9. He was definitely innocent and was always a good guy.
"He could have been the champion of the world."

  10. Both Marins and Tanis told police that the shooters had been black males after being interrogated, although neither identified Carter or John Artis, both of whom were subsequently arrested, charged, tried, and convicted.

Both Bello and Valentine provided a description of the car to the police, which changed at the second court case: Valentine claimed that the lights lit up like butterflies, which Carter's car did not have; only the two end lights lit up

The defense responded with testimony from multiple witnesses identifying Carter at the locations he claimed to be at the morning the murders happened

Er, he was proven to be guilty.

The so-called retrial did not exonerate him. It was thrown out because the prosecution ****ed up on the paperwork or some ridiculous ****. And Carter got his get out of jail card. Hence he receieved no compo and stuff, if memory serves.

Dude seems guilty to me but still, nice movie despite being more fictional than factual.

I've also read on the case, and while the evidence is against him, I agree it's not strong enough to convict. Even if guilty, he did enough time, proven by the fact he's lived well after getting freed, helping those wrongly convicted.

I think that might be about how it panned out? Can't remember. It's been too long since I read it.
