My money is on Taylor and possibly by late stoppage. He will probably need to show he’s got a good chin at some point, but I think he will come through any rough moments. Hutchinson is very good in spurts, but he isn’t a consistent 10-12 round fighter, and I’ve always been impressed by Ezra, despite the level of his opps.
Hutchinson is an enigma. Ultimately, I think he’s one of the most talented boxers in the UK – but obviously he can’t pull it all together consistently and he feels unreliable. The Richards victory is miles above anything that Taylor has done, its arguably the best job anyone done on Richards. Watching the Buatsi fight it was clear in my opinion that Hutchinson could have won that but by his own admission had nothing after two rounds, and more worrying I’m not sure he answered as to why. Nonetheless, there I think there is a big speed differential here. Taylor looks technically sound but I think we could see Hutchinson be levels above when he lets his hands go. On paper it looks close, in reality it could be levels between.
Hutchinson likes to really bully an opponent if he feels he's getting the better of the exchanges his confidence and punch volume increases. Taylor I see as a Buatsi type fighter, rhythm, control and building behind a jab racking up rounds. Behind Ituama it's the other fight tomorrow I'm looking forward to, good matchup.
