HW:Adamek - Estrada (YT)

Adamek (who said he wanted a Klitschko after his next fight) would get slaughtered by Wlad at heavyweight...he should go back to Cruiser

 

Wow, 'Fight of the year' in the title of the video. :-(

Man, even Valero-DeMarco which happened on the same night was way better.

If you only watch boxing for Adamek then yea, it was fight of the year. Otherwise it wasn't all that great.

 

Adamek faught smart and scored Estrada (who is not easy to hit and has never been KO'd). I do not know where is his place in HV division now (it was just his second fight!!) but definitely he needs more time to feel good with his new weight and not only ...

Sure, that's always cool. It's a shame this fight was not televised properly.

I just don't like such ridiculous, uneducated hype. Adamek deserves better.

 

I'm not sure slaughter would be it, heck I'd maybe give Amadek the edge for speed.
And WTF was Estrada thinking? Come in fat (he could fight at 115), landing half the punches, in the other guy's field and thinks he won?

Just watched the fight again.

Didnt change my card, still gave Estrada 3 rounds out of the 12, maybe 4 is arguable, but not more.


Adameks speed wasnt bad at all. Yesterday I was thinking Estrada matched him in speed, but watching the fight again I think Adamek had the edge in that department too. He did seem to still gas a bit towards the last 2-3 rounds. Estrada just didnt do enough, Adamek was busier, landing more shots. Simply the better fighter. Executed his game planned, and did exactly what his corner told him, and what his corner said he would do before the fight, went the full 12 rounds with a "spoiler" type of fighter, who came in the best shape of his career to this point. He said it himself.

 

Some ESB experts claim Povetkin can wipe out the Klitschkos. Adamek showed no significant weakness against Estrada, who gave Povetkin a fight. If Adamek can get past Arreola then he'd clearly be capable of facing either Klitschko.

 

Yea, Adamek was faster, and sharper. Estrada had his moments but not nearly enough to take it. We can say Adamek is more or less in the Povetkin league, at this point in time. I must also add the fight was a little boring at times.

 

Lol, when the judges were saying the scores he had a smile on his face. I think that he believes he honestly won... hahaha.

Perhaps I misunderstood and he did say 2 more fights, not 1. But I did hear Klitschko by name.

 

I am. He won't be able to avoid Wlad's jab.
