Walcott was a very good points fighter, not a great finisher despite his power.
He is not beating Conn on points.

I'm pretty much convinced Walcott loses this one. Nevermind the bad style match up and Conn's chin, Walcott sometimes had a bad habit of losing to inferior fighters the first time around (Maxim, Ray, Layne) and he had his two struggles with Charles before beating him and then again getting a handover against him.

At his best, Walcott went 8-4 against contenders (1945-1948). 2 of those losses were to Ray and Maxim, disputable decisions, avenged, 2 of the others were to Louis so arguably one was a win and the other a clear loss.
The issue though is that apart from Curtis Sheppard, Walcott didn't knock out any of the contenders he faced in that run, not even in rematches. He managed to finish Johnson quickly in 1950 by breaking his back and Charles once in four fights.
There isn't any tangible evidence he can finish Conn, and as previously stated, getting a decision from him is unlikely, at least not the first time around.

The better question is, can Walcott beat conn on points in a rematch? No, but here he actually has a chance.
Better even in a trilogy. Not saying he would though.

Walcott is outpaced by the 5th, outjabbed by the 8th, and all but out on his feet by the end
