You're all over the place. First, Jack Dempsey didn't defend the title for THREE YEARS because he married an actress and decided to become an actor himself and go make movie serials. So I wouldn't bash boxers who are on Instagram and Twitter ... and then praise a guy who left the division high and dry for three years so he could go make movies. Second, Deontay Wilder is arguably the FITTEST heavyweight champion we've EVER had. He is ALWAYS ripped, even when he's not in camp. If anything, he overtrains. And his team wants him to weigh more, because he enters camp with no weight to lose. Third, Wilder came up the hard way, too. Fought in small halls and off networks. Boxed for nearly seven years before getting his first title shot. Broke his hand while doing it, and still managed to win. (Then destroyed the guy in their return fight when he had two good hands.) Fourth, Wilder is also the ONLY fighter in heavyweight history to suffer a broken hand AND a torn bicep )both required surgery to repair) in the same title fight and STILL score a stoppage win. So I wouldn't discount his "grittiness" or his "toughness" ... or his willingness to bite down on his mouthpiece and pound out a win. Fifth, Wilder is making his NINTH defense next week. Dempsey only managed to make five successfully (might've made more if he fought black guys). And Wilder will likely pass Dempsey's KO wins (45) next year. (Wilder should have #40 next week.) And, unlike the Gibbons fight, Wilder hasn't been involved in any stinkers. All of his defenses have been fun. So, maybe you shouldn't be so down on the heavyweight situation in the U.S. and PINE FOR THE DAYS OF DEMPSEY. Things weren't always BETTER back then. If you opened your eyes, you might enjoy the fights you see.

It's clear and sad that you don't know that Dempsey went into a depression after Bill Brennan was murdered, so you'd understand why he did a lot of weird things. And you have a clear love for Wilder which is pretty interesting.
Heavyweight division has sucked for some time now. Nothing new. It was supposed to get better after klitschko retired but it seems the actual issue was poor conditioned, lack of true boxing skills all along, not the Klitschko's who could actually box lol. These days everyone thinks size is all that matters, **** actually honing your craft! Is it a coincidence that the only man to really force Vitali to fight was Lenox Lewis? A man that had size, strength, and above all else could box! Since then we've had a bunch of fat slobs that couldn't slip a punch if their life depended on it or big stiff robots that block punches with their whole entire self.
Yes, so depressed he decided to make a million dollars making movies. Got it. Didn't he go to Hollywood a year before Brennan got shot? (Pretty sure he did.) Is that why Dempsey didn't fight black guys, too, because white guys shot Brennan because he wouldn't buy booze from them? That Dempsey sure was DEEP. (sarcasm) I like heavyweights. This era is fine. I don't pine for the old days and make them out to be better than they were.
Yes, when I look at Wilder and Joshua ... FAT SLOBS is the first thing that comes to mind. Brilliant analysis. Wilder and Joshua will be in the Hall of Fame. And neither of them grab and hold or literally jump on a guys back to stop him from punching, like Wlad did. The MASTER.
The fact that Charr was even considered as a replacement for miller should say it all. Back in the day, the so called bums of the division would have kicked Charrs ass. Dude can't box for ****.
I think you're forgetting Vitali (who you praised) defended against Charr. And it was a pretty good fight until it was stopped on cuts. And that Charr was shot FOUR TIMES in the belly and nearly died after that. I'm not a Charr fan in the least, but he's no punk. Joshua would kill him. But he's no punk.
Fury vs Wilder isn't even a good style match and had there been no knock downs posters would be claiming how lack luster it was bc .......it was a very little going on besides Wilder swings missing Fury by a hair. Lol The Breazeales fight is going to be far more entertaining between guys with 90% /95% K.O percentages that rely on K.Os .Boxing fans will never be happy ,at least I've never seen it since watching boxing since Holmes was champion. Lol
You can add these fights as well. Whyte vs Chisora whyte vs Parker Breazeale vs Izu Kownacki vs Martin Wilder vs Ortiz Chisora vs Takam Joshua vs Povetkin Pulev vs Dinu Joshua vs Klitschko just off top my head since 2017 , I know there's more. All these fights were crazy , how anyone claiming no fights are happening doesn't add up. we're also getting DDD vs Gorman , Whyte vs Rivas , Breazeales up next vs Wilder in a guarantee of a K.O .
