Meh - don't all need to be ATGs. The fights were good, which is more than can be said of supposed better eras in HW boxing. That's all I care about, tbh.
Look I take entertaining brawls every time over tedious chess matches in the ring. Give me Gatti vs. Ward style fights I will always watch them, no matter how lacking their are on the technical side of things.
I'm really enjoying it and I think it's a shame you aren't. Other than that, just to thank you for this important message.
It'll get interesting with the arrival of Usyk, Hrgovic, Teslenko, Dychko, Gassiev, Kuzmin. Trust me.
I agree the arrival of Usyk and possibly Gassiev will make HW substantially more exciting than it even is now, the others though? Waah waaaah waaaaaahh...... Four faceplants.
You don't rate Hrgovic, Teslenko, Dychko, Kuzmin? All 4 at the very LEAST are gonna be in the top 10.
Not saying that, I've seen all of them more than once, sometimes looking good and other times bad. I just think its too early and not enough known about them and their true levels and ability to make a judgement call on where their pinnacle will be.
I'd rather live to witness ATG legacies like Manny Pacquiao & Mike Tyson than """ATG legacies""" like Floyd Mayweather Jr & Wladamir Klitschko
The division isn't terrible. Anthony Joshua is a top fighter, and there's five or six decent contenders, and also several promising up-and-comers. Heavyweight would be better however if Deontay Wilder would show a little courage and sign the lucrative contract Hearn offered him to fight Joshua. Or at least as WBC champ he should face a decent prime contender like Whyte.
