I have to blame Manny Stewart for making Wlad horable to watch sometimes.
Vitali will stop Wlad if the ever fight

    -Vitali
    -Wlad
    -Haye
    -Povetkin

Those are the only fighters in the division that create interest. I haven't seen Juan Carlos Gomez.

Scar I'm glad to see you be so stand up about this. I think in '07 we had some pm's about this topic.

I noticed a bias against LL many years ago. Why? I'm not going to mince words. He was different from what US fans were used to as HW champ. How? Even though he was a black guy, he wasn't from the US and had that Brit accent. This of course made him "gay" and other such nonsense - as if being homosexual has anything to do with fighting ability. With the K bros it's even worse for many of these esb losers b/c they're even "more different" :-( Pathetic so many get their panties out of whack over this. What's worse is they hide behind comments like - HW div no good (so it's only good when you're fighters win - how childish); so n so is a robot (this is a code word usually applied to white fighters, but plenty of black fighters are like robots, example Sam Peter :yep ); we need a SHW div (this is a fair discussion that's hotly debated); and sore loser fans that talk about how great the HW were in the 70s (you know, when only one group was dominating the HW scene before true world comp). The more I think about it maybe a top of his game Foreman - not Ali - might be able to compete with the modern top HWs. I heard Ali admit that he wasn't a big puncher even in his era ! But as one guy posted last year, fans are more extreme about a fighters ability (that they identify with) than the fighter himself.

I'd have more respect for these posters if they just came out and said I don't like seeing: a non US champ; or I don't want a big black Brit or East Euro white guys as HW champs. This is the reason for most of the K bro (and LL) hate/bias on the these site.

Finally, it seems people like diversity only when it benefits them. The US is full of people w/that mentality and hypocrisy :(

Denial? :nut The funny thing is you don't even realize how much you're projecting your own mental problems onto others

Do you live through Ali? Is he your persoanl "saviour". Go out and accomplish something on your own. If you like Ali b/c you identify w/him, fine. But you act like your most of your self esteem is based on someone else's accomplishments. Btw Ali would lose to LL/K bros and very probably other recent/current HWs. Give it a rest. A "smart" guy like yourself should be more concerned that the US continues to decline as a nation than what the current HW champs look like.

Even if you agree, as I do, that Ali is the greatest, that doesn't mean there aren't other really good heavyweights. In my opinion, Ali at his prime (really a mythical prime of after the Zora Folley fight and before the Quarry comeback) could have beaten any heavyweight ever.

But now that that's out of the way, you think Zora Folley could have laid a glove on the 6'8" Vitali? I don't think so.

And as to Peter's preparation, check the boxing sites. His trainer said (before the fight) it was the most prepared and best camp Peter had ever had. Vitali was simply WAY better.
