My word, the phrase 'Greatest of all Time' gets spread thin these days.Like 'legend', it should be used sparingly, not applied to fighters who are, simply, very good.

There can only be one GOAT. Pre-Louis, there were a few possibles. Sullivan, Johnson, Dempsey. Post-Louis, there should only be one considered other than Joe. Ali. GOAT literally means more great than anyone else ever. So, if you came after Louis and your name's not Ali, you never had a case to be thought of as the GOAT imo.

I agree with with your assessment, he was boring and robotic, and not considered an atg, as far as I can remember, for what it's worth, Lewis took a long time to be accepted as such, the brits were always reticent due to the Canadagate, shame really because he was, and is most definitely one of the best, arguably 3/4 depending where you have Holmes, coincidently another great, who had to work for his dollar.
