So odd to see AJs performance against Ruiz, and his questionable display of heart. I see the same thing most see, I'm not going to make stuff up and say he didn't quit. But I still think we are being too hard on him. AJ has shown great heart and perseverance before, especially against Wlad. But also after trying moments with Whyte and Povetkin. And AJs not alone. Vitali is maybe the best example, quitting against Byrd but proving his heart later against Lewis. But people forget Ali tried to quit in his corner against Frazier and was basically forced back out by Dundee. Plenty of other examples. The fact is, boxing is tough. **** happens. One bad example shouldn't ruin the other examples of heart a fighter has shown. Red Badge of Courage anyone?
