Arreola vs. Stiverne, Fury vs. Johnson and Banks vs. Mitchell that's three semi-final fights? Somebody ought to teach the WBC how to count.

@madballster - They probably guessed all those fights wouldn't happen.....and they were right. In fact they could of set up even more "semi-finals". Boytsov pulled out, Banks doesn't want any of Vitali. And some questioned from the beginning whether the Arreola vs. Stiverne would ever happen. The fight date has since been put back several times.

I'm sure Wlad will first choose a rematch against Mormeck and then a third fight with Sam Peter. Kidding of course.

The WBC situation is interesting because Vitali might not fight again or he might be beaten by Haye. If Haye beats Vitali he has to fight Wladimir after that.

Unless the fight happens and Haye beats him I think Vitali will be retired before the WBC mandatory is due by mid/end of 2013. Means the belt will be vacated and the two top ranked contenders will fight it out.

Wlad will be greedily eying that belt once its 'on the market'.
