I know it is a higly hypothetical question - but will something like Louis, Tyson, Ali, or even Liston, happen to the heavyweight division within the next 10 years?

It's tough to say, but I'd say the best chances for another great heavyweight lie in Wladimir Klitschko and Alexander Povetkin.

I think we will be quite surprised when the next heavyweight All Time Great emerges.

Are you saying that in 30 years from now, ppl will rate Peter among the likes of Ali, Louis, Foreman, Holmes, etc...?

Alexander is probably the best bet for that type of superstar.

I love watching Sam though and he'll do just fine to entertain us until that prophetic one emerges. In 2 years time Povetkin vs Klitschko or Povetkin vs Peter would be huge fights.

my vote is for Povetkin. I have thought that since 05, not hoping on any bandwagons. Even his few critics would have to say the way he has been brought along has been impressive. Things will pick up a notch when he meets Byrd later on this month.

Povetkin may become the first Russian heavyweight champion (and by that, I mean undisputed rather than a beltholder).

    Povetkin and Solis.
Sam Peter couldnt hold a candle to Povetkin at the amateurs. The African was a nobody who didnt even dare to cross Povetkin's outstandingly great shadow.

sam peter is most fun to watch in the hwy right now.. and povetking might be a force in the future but sam is tougher and stronger, and if he improves a little bit more he will be able to crush his opponents a la tyson.
