Povetkin has the potential to be a solid beltholder, but he is too small, his punch is not hard enough, he has no real weapon to be a real great HW. Solis is far more a candidate. But he is a lazy Cuban and maybe wastes his talent. To all the people who never saw solis: He is a very skilled Sam Peter.
Peter and Wlad are the only guys who have the potential, and are young enough, to possibily attain this. It remains to be seen if either will.
Maybe not NEXT big name, but I think Michael Marrone will come within 10 years if he keeps motivated. The guy is only 22 and has plenty of time to mature and season a great fighter.
Wladimir has the best chance at becoming the undisputed, as well as a major, well known sports figure,............ and I don't see anyone suprassing him while he's still of a reasonablely young age and wants to fight. He'll have to either get old, or retire before anyone else has a chance to be dominant. But if he were to retire, I'd say Chagaev may be able to take over........possibly Povetkin, but Povetkin has to get by Byrd, first.........
I have my doubts over how well he will do at Heavyweight, but regardless of how successful he is David Haye will be VERY entertaining to watch at HW over the next few years, it would be good for the sport if an exciting fighter like him became the king at HW.
Alexei Kasbulanov: the future undisputed champion. 6"7, 35 years old, and was robbed of the Tajik amateur title due to a MINISCULE amount of steroids in his bloodstream. And cocaine. And opium. Apart from those MINISCULE substances, he's clean as a whistle and great for boxing.
