HW ... who gets next title shot ....

Tua and Golota are the ones with the best chances.

Golota because he is ranked high and may land a fight with Meehan in the next months, which could shoot him up the rankings.

Tua because he should fight now in july and then again against the winner of Arreola/Whiterspoon, which could shoot him up the rankings as well.

Probably McCall or Tua, just because their durability should take them through the 12 and (especially in Tua's case) you'd have the frisson of wondering if they could land that teeth-loosening bomb at some point.

Might be nice to see Golota get one more shot too. Could be a bit of a Frank Bruno win if he pulled it off.

 

i voted for tua, even though he doesnt deserve it, i would love to see him vs peter for the slugfest, wlad for comical value, same goes for valuev vs tua if valuev wins title

is this a joke? all of the poll options are hw's with an average age of about 36 with lyakohvic being the only guy close to 30. i'm a golota fan and i guess out of this bunch i'd like for him to get the shot, but are these really the most deserving "contenders"?

The guy who should get the shot is Gomez (and obviously Povetkin). Hell i'd probably rather see Haye get a shot than most of the poll options.

There's no such thing as good luck, it's all about timing. In any respect, he hung in there and weathered the storm, and when Wlad blew his load, Brewster was there to finish him off, there's very few fighters that would of been able to hang in there and take that many power shots and find a way to get a win.

 

None of those hasbeens & neverwas's should be getting a shot until they defeat a true top 10 fighter.
