Luther McCarthy. He was injured out of the ring and died in it. Many thought he was a rising star.

Tim Witherspoon. Witherpsoon was iced by Don King.

Ken Norton. If he gets the correct call over Ali in the thrid fight, he becomes a lineal champion.

Vitali Klitschko. Injuries forced him to retire ( since 2004 ) when he was the #1 guy in the divison.

Muhammed Ali. Ali was kicked out of boxing for his stance on the Vietnam war and lost some prime years.

Norton had his shot against Foreman and filled his shorts,.good call on Ali he was robbed of his prime years ,and so were we.

Tillis was quality , he had a lot going for him.. Weaver was there for the taking and i think James probably cried while watching the tape after the fact.. Pinklon definitely, he whacked Weaver who was actually related to Thomas. That fight divided a whole family..

Uderated fighter with a ton of heart ,his story would make a good film,good call.

 

While I believe that the decision probably was crooked I dont think that the issue is as clear cut as some people make out.

There seems to have been controvesy both ways at the time.

 

Liston couldnt get a shot and when he does along came Ali.

 

Liston had himself to blame for the first Ali loss, though. Or let's put it this way: he humiliated himself more by not coming in shape and quitting than he was by Ali.
