http://www.independent.ie/sport/other-sports/boxing-hyde-snaps-up-golden-cuban-1695069.html Interesting! Wonder if this means if he'll be fighting in newcastle on 18th April???
That is one hell of a coup. The Cubans he already has in his stable must have sealed the deal, they must have spoken to Rigondeaux. I can't imagine he'd sign for Hyde otherwise, I would have fought Arena Box would be the most obvious choice with Gamboa, Solis and Lara! His amateur record is 243-4!
didnt he claim he had already agreed a contract with him awhile ago after his first botched attempt at fleeing cuba?, but Rigondeaux then tried to sign with someone else(arena?) once he finally did get away at the second attempt. sure hyde kicked up a fuss about it, might be confusing this with another case though.
Glenn Mccrory must be creaming his pants at the thought of working with him!!! yeah I heard he'd already signed with hyde before he announced that he would be signing with oner. I reckon he'd be better off in america but its wicked to see him fighting over here. None of our channels show their fights though are they on the irish channel RTE or whatever its called?
perez had one fight on a dunne undercard on rte.thats it.perez garcia and acosta are out again 25 april against much tougher opponenents in cork.the card is on being shown on gofightlive.tv for 4.99 or something
they should.the fella perez fightin was up against ibragimov a couple of fights ago. hes 22-4.garcias fightin an argentinian 22-12 and acostas up against another argie whos 14-6.its only mikes 9th fight and the 5th for the other two so its a big step up
You should all listen to Paddy on this subject if he comes in this thread at all. The answer is apparently he hasn't.
i dont think so.gary hyde has said he could be in germany or america and hes only managing not promoting.rigondeaux definitely signed with arena box before but he was sent back to cuba.i wouldnt be surprised if he ended up back with arena box somehow
It's not on in Newcastle apparantly it is in Cork at the Silver Springs Moran hotel and these opponents are a definate step up in class
About time we start signing some of these Cubans. They are ****ing awesome and ze Germans are getting em all!
