what was wrong with light heavyweight? Why all the way to cruiserweight for? Funny enough, his last fight he ended up back at 167!
I was just checking out Caines record, am i reading it correct? That after his one defeat he put on over 60 pounds in a month for his next fight? what the ****?
Yeah agree totally with that.Mirovic gave him the flick after Hyder did it one time too many.Big Bob warned him on camera "Don't slap again" and that was the end of their partnership. Why does Hyder do it? Plain, old fashioned BIG-NOTING in the corner. When he spoke to Greeny's brother like that I felt that post-fight he'd be given his walking papers.Still may happen.Respect and cooperation is normally the practice in the corner, not abuse and lack of cooperation.
who did he say "OPEN IT **** YOU" to during one of the rounds? He didnt seem to have much respect for anyone in the corner not just Dannys brother. When your corner is like that it doesnt help the fighter, you need to be as calm as you can and give accurate instructions, usually just stick to one or two things, dont try overload them saying they are not sharp etc, this is infact the last thing i would tell a boxer, lower his confidence during the fight? Way to go , he doesnt need to hear that he is not sharp or he is a caveman etc, he needs to focus on the job at hand. And Hyder saying i never seen you fight like this is a lie, wasnt he watching the BJ flores fight LOL? the slapping is a bit old school, Ellis also did it alot, pretty much to all his fighters but he didnt do it while they were in the ring, he would give them a good slap before they come out to fire them up. I personally dont like it, never been slapped by a trainer and i would pull him up straight away just like Bob did. He wants to be slapped back then fine lol I dont think Hyders been given his marching orders, he seems to think Danny wants the rematch, he will most likely try and brainwash Danny into thinking he can repeate Round 7 in the rematch and do this every round and knockout Tarver, problem is Danny only had that one round from the 9 rounds and was getting more and more beat up as each round went by, he can not take legit CW blows. You could see that as soon as Tarver sent him toppling to the ropes. These guys got caught out with their hand in the cookie Jar, they thought Tarver was shot as did alot of people, they watched his HW fight, bloated, slow, sluggish etc and started licking their lips. It backfired on them. When you cherry pick and diet on sht you wont be able to match it with the top brass that have had aswome diets of fighting the top of their class throughout most of their career.
...if I was Brendan Green I would've king hit the kunt...it'd be like...here kunt..you want all the camera's on you...well 'crack'...now there's a first for Aussie boxing...cornerman KTFO!
Personally I like Green so I'm not gunna bag him...but I believe his success in round 7 was more to do with Tarver beginning to tire and basicly takin' a round off...if the rematch happens Tarver would jump on Greeny alot earlier and probably stop him inside 4 rounds...I don't think it's anything to be ashamed of bein' a level below someone like Tarver...
Yeah the slapping was a good laugh but is pretty common, i didnt mind getting a few slaps in the chops to wake me up between rounds.
...dunno about that...a good trainer should know how to push the right buttons with a few well chosen words...
that sort of honest to the subconcious stuff works. the subconcious sees through lies. like 'hes just a bum, ko him'....etc, etc. 'i love you son' may just have been the honest spark that leapt his subconcious into action. i'll give another example. my kid scores tries. lots of em. hes so fast he can turn out the light, get back in bed, before the light goes out... he can also tackle. but like all little kids, its just fun, so why get hurt tackling all the time. dad likes him to tackle more. dad tries everything and my kid just switches off.....one day the coach says, 'as soon as they get the ball, run up there and tackle them. SEE WHOS THE FASTEST'..... guess what happened. tackled his guts out all day....just to prove he was the fastest...the coach had hit honesty on the button. the subconcious responded. he wasnt told to tackle...that wouldnt have worked. he was asked 'who was the fastest' and it was added to tackling. pure, accidental genius! .
Green needs to re-think his whole game and bring in the great Norman Stone!! Watch at 1:16 as Norman really inspires his charge.... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TVi6qugGBw[/ame]
"Come in on an angle and start banging him" :rofl:rofl:rofl Just the way he says it is enough to make me cry in laughter!!
