I know you're clowning around by taking this quote out of context. Unfortunately, there are plenty of people on this forum that will believe it as you presented it. Freddie's comment was in response to the absurdity of the Texas commission saying that it was up to Antonio to take a banned substance if he wants to, as he then runs the risk of testing positive in the post-fight urinalysis. Roach then said, "So if I load my fighter's wraps, it's ok as long as we don't get caught?" He dismissed this notion as a ridiculous way to go about enforcing the regulations. Freddie stands by the claim that a bottle of Hydroxycut was found in Margarito's possession. The coffee and Splenda packets are a separate issue. You are suggesting that Pac's rep mistook a packet of sweetener for a bottle of Hydroxycut.atsch Roach later says that he still wants to see Tony's post-fight test results. That is one dense smokescreen.
And Obviously you do not pay attention, it was in texas and not Nevada, and in addition considering all of the circumstances surrounding Tony and his scandel, The commissions Job is to ensure the saftey of the fighter, regardless if the wrap had been signed off or not, if the trainer from the other camp feels there is something wrong with it, it is the job of the commission to re inspect it before the fight starts even if its signed off. The bottom line IMO the commission failed to do their job, and in my eyes Roach knew and what do I mean by this? the kind of wrap he described as illegal in which DLH would use, they used, so knowingly he allowed this to take place. and after months of him talking **** about Margarito I am disgusted in Roach. He is no good for the sport period. Some of you here if not alot of you have never worked in Roachs gym, I have and I know alot of **** that goes down there would shock this forum... Roach is not this good guy he pretends to be he is in it for the money and the money only no matter what the cost is.
Did you or anybody here see the bottle of Hydroxicut? and if it were in his posession as you claim, why was it not confiscated?:think
Your theory is just a theory, nothing more or nothing less. You're thinking into it too deep without logic and common sense. I do not see the consistency of your findings due to the fact you don't have any concrete evidence to support your theory. Therefore, I find this irrelevant and without merit! CASE CLOSED.
Yes, I know the bout was in Texas, my apologies for the typo. I don't understand how the commission failed to do their job when representatives from the opposing camp and the Texas Commission were present and observed the handwrapping, and gave it the green light. Garcia's request to have the hands rewrapped a second time was clearly gamesmanship and you're making way too much of it. Tell me this; if Garcia really believed Pacquiao's hands were wrapped illegally, why has he not protested the wraps post-fight?
The 2nd time was not clearly mind games, Garcia described to the commissioner his complaint that was aired on HBO, his concern was the ridges on Mannys knuckles in which Roach insisted that there could be no visable ridges that the knuckle pad needed to be flat the way Tonys was. He has not protested yet because they went straight to the hospital and I fully expect them to make light of this soon. as far as the commission giving the green light, lets be ****ing real commissions **** up daily this is nothing new.
I'd certainly expect a competent commission to confiscate a banned substance. I'd also never expect them to say that it's up to the fighter to take whatever banned substances they want and risk testing positive on the post-fight drug screening. Garcia had a point of contention if the rep told him that Tony's wraps needed to be totally flat across the knuckles, because Manny's clearly weren't flat. However, the commission reps inspected Manny's hands and said, "They are good wraps." You bringing up the comments Roach made about Oscar's wraps doesn't really apply here. We don't know just how thick the strips were that Oscar was trying to use. The ridges may have been even more prominent. Ultimately, NSAC deemed Oscar's wraps with ridges legal, so long as he started with thinner width tape.
The reason the Hydroxicut was not confiscated is either there was none there, or that the commission out there is that ****ed up. Mannys wraps were clearly not flat the way Margaritos were and Garcia attempted to make them rewrap but was rejected. As far as Oscars wraps, there were No ridges allowed, yes they used thinner tape but at the same time even with the smaller tape you can still pull it in a way that would still form Ridges Oscars knuckle pads were flat and not ridged. I know alot of people here dont see or refuse to see whats going on here, and to those of you in total denial, most of you were not saying as much when Tony was stating he didnt know about his wraps when he fought mosley..... it amazes me to see how many of you will suck the superstars **** rather than stand up for the good of the sport and treat it as such.... and you call yourselves fans of the sport...:-(
Best as in most skilled, but hardly doubt that Manny Pacquiao hits harder shot for shot over Paul Williams. Even with the Bombs that Mosley did land all to the head in route to knocking out Margarito he didnt swell much neither. Now sure you can argue he was hit with about 300 head shots, but shots that are also partially blocked also count as landed shots. and though Manny hit him clean often he did not land every single shot clean. Again look at the swelling, look at the roach video in which he describes Oscars illegal hand wraps, how can those wraps be illegal for Oscar and not for Manny when its basicly the same wrap. Then you have the footage the night of the Margarito fight, how is it that he can stack his wraps like that and nobody give a **** when its clear as day he was stacking based on the pictures that I have posted here....
:deal That sweet uppercut didn't land flush... more than likely it stretched Margarito's skin to the point in which an entire area started filling with blood. It turned flush red, but didn't actually bleed. Subsequent punches ripped the skin open and caused the bleeding. Bazooka is ****ing destroyed that his idol was brutalized.
