I haven’t tried it, but I’ve looked at the company and the product, and was very impressed.

They 3D Print the casing, and use gyroscopic sensors to measure cool details about the punches.

Knowing what I know, the tech isn’t at the point yet where it is perfectly accurate, and you’ll probably need a smartphone nearby to pair it to. But they can collect some pretty good data. For what it is, it does a pretty good job. I think the company has the right approach.

Will it make you a better boxer? I don’t know. I believe it’s more about the hammer holder than the hammer.

If you want to get good at boxing I think a coach is more helpful, for fitness if sure can't do any harm.

Looks like a gimmick for fitness boxers.

It can help you determine your work rate objectively against your intuition.

I mean, this is a sport where people drink their own **** to get an edge.

I think unless you have a very clear reason for using them, they won’t make a noticeable difference compared to many other important factors in training. I did have this fitness tracker that showed me calories burned when I was training. Some days I felt like I worked harder than I actually did, and vice versa. It was interesting to track. Sometimes it motivated me to put in more work.

I use to record myself on bag and then count punches :) I am punching bag like I`m fighting so it wasnt just count that matters, but I think its one of the perimeter that can show my fitness.

You can also use it in sparring, it separates power punch from jab etc.
