atsch Any hype Forrest received was perfectly warranted. He was a star amateur, who twice already had bested then p4p king Mosley and had a few decent secondary wins in Oliveira, Frank, and Philips. That was an upset, sure, but hardly a hype exposure.
Pointless thread, every fighter loses unless they cautiously Calzaghe or Floyd cherrypick their way through their career.
No No Yes Mares had an outstanding three-year run and was the #1 at bantam and super bantam and top 5 at feather before he ran into Gonzalez. Ioka became a champion in his seventh pro bout and went on to become a 2-division champ on an 8-0 (6) run before falling short in a third weight division challenging a very tricky boxer in Ruenroeng - and only losing by SD. Those are stupid picks, sorry. Miranda, yes, he was excessively hyped and Pavlik ripped the curtain down on him. (proving exactly as he claimed in the build-up that Miranda couldn't fight backing up)
Francisco Bojado...lost to Juan Carlos Rubio, Then lost to Jesse James Leija and retired after a loss to Steve Forbes...!!!

Many of the mentions here are guys that were champions, some in multiple weight classes. Granted someone like Broner you can still call a hype job since he just cut a bunch of weight and overpowered much smaller fighters to scoop up his belts (essentially a mini Chavez Jr., who is also pure hype) but to name guys that have consistently notched respectable victories over titlists and contenders their own size? That is ridiculous. Some really silly nominations are being tossed around in here.
