Broner moved up to steal a belt from feather-fisted, past it Malinaggi. He will avoid any of the big dogs at 140/147lbs like the plague. And Golovkin should be fighting Martinez before he leaves 160lbs.
Broner moved from 130 to fight non-featherfisted DeMarco at 135...without a tuneup.:yep Now he's fighting non-featherfisted Maidana. GG doesn't have to VACATE his middlweight trinkets...he can keep them and STILL fight Ward at 168:deal
I doubt Broner has even heard of Brook, seriously he isn't a big name and wouldn't be a big money fight for him because lets be honest Broner wouldn't go to the UK. Lets see how Broner vs Maidana goes first.
No tune up Broner is huge for a 130 and 135 fighter, why did he avoid 140 ? and Maidana while having very decent power is not a great fighter. He was not even strong enough to put Amir Khan away FFS
Maidana is much improved with Robert Garcia as his trainer, he actually has a game plan now, when before it was just throw the sloppy overhand right and see what happens. Khan doesn't survive the 12 rounds vs Maidana at 147 if the rematch ever happens. (Khan has gone downhill since the Maidana win, especially punch Resistance, which was already bad to begin with) Maidana would be Brooks toughest fight by a million, and will be Broner's toughest fight to date as well, win or lose.
WW is more competitive than 135 just like 168 and 175 is more competitive than 160. Broner moved to a tougher division.....GG don't have the skills are balls to do so:deal Angulo put rosado away in 2 rounds and didn't get touched at his best weight. GG needed 7 rounds and end-swell to get it done.
I agree as I stated earlier in terms of level of opposition fought there not much between Brooks and Broners resume. I dont even see his 3 titles as anything really they are worthless. Broner has prob fought slightly better opposition to date but the both untested. Maidana is the biggest test to date for Broner and would be for Brook as well but the fact that Broner is already a 3 weight champion and yet MAIDANA is his biggest test to date ... do you not think that makes a bit of a mokery of the sport ?
Broner fought the weakest champion in 147 avoiding the much tougher division of 140 you seriously think Broner would beat any of teh belt holders at 140 ? or any of the other belt holders at 147 $1000 says not a chance
That is still more than GG has ever done Bet some of your 1000 rupies on GG fighting a belt holder at 168 or 175 Broner is fighting better comp than 31 y/o Golovkin by a mile. GG will stay in his place just like Tszyu did.:deal He will never dare to be great..Ward is right there to be challenged but Golovkin and K2 productions are not about taking chances:hi:
GGG has called out everyone from 154 to 168 what more can he do he can't force people to fight him. everyone in the middle weight division is running scared. I expect him to figh Froch in the new year though thats a fight the fans will want to see. Also Froch will take on all comers unlike a lot of his yank counterparts who will fight anyone as long as they can dictate where when and who refs and judges it.
You mean Joe Calzaghe the 2 weight Lineal Champion of the world ?? who beat Kessler Eubank Hopkins Bika Lacy Reif RJJ much better than anything Broner could hope to achieve in his career
Titles in 3 weight classes and fighting his second top 10 welterweight in as many fights and he's what 24. I see the hate is still strong here.
it took Mr 46-0, 12 years to go up a weight division and when he did it was against 40 something year old guys coming off recent losses....
