Hypejobs by HBO and Showtime

    I think everyone knew at the time SRL was around he was going to be an ATG. So i guess it is a bit harsh, but where are all these ATGs which passed through the older generations. I guess they aren't there anymore because promoters won't take risks, and they know their fighters aren't that good.

    can't believe we have pictures of guys like Taylor and Pavlik up in here...

    Bute and Kirkland were the biggest hypejobs of the last few years.

    Everybody is entitled to their opinion, but why are slating Taylor and you've yet to call Bute a hypejob given on how hyped he was??? I'm just curious thats all.

    Although I think HBO and Showtime are responsible for hypejobs, I think the fans are more at fault. Especially on these boxing forums.

    Alot of very good fighters clearly got their ass kicked by Hopkins. Doing well enough to get a questionable win against him is doing very well indeed.

    so when hbo n sho invest in a certain fighter n he doesnt perfrom hes a hype job right. i think bute fits that description 4 sho. and 4 hbo right now im thinkin seth mitchell.

    even tho bute lost to a very good fighter he still got his ass kicked like froch was fightin a bum . and to that point bute got hyped up in canada fightin guys like bika, andrade, zuniga, and brinkley... thats wut happens wen ur bum huntin then go in there wit a guy like froch in his backyard
