Antonio Margarito - Lost to Daniel Santos. Lost to a green Paul Williams. I scored his fight with a mentally frail Joshua Clottey a draw. Vast majority of his hype was from beatng Kermit cintron

Miguel Cotto - Struggled massively at 140. Where his massive defensive liabilities were showcased against Corley, Torres, Ndou and Malignaggi. Biggest win is over Shane Mosley, a fight that could have went either way, in which I think was more to Mosley blowing it then anything else. I predicted before the Pacquiao fight he'd be Ko'd in 6 rounds. Round 5 is pretty much where Pacquiao ended the fight competitively.

Kermit Cintron - People were actually saying Floyd was ducking this guy lol

The 2 fighters to be "Exposed" within the next year or so will be

    Brandon Rios
    Tavoris Cloud

Sluggers that take too much punishment.

Well, I think you're being a little over the top with the "comatose Puerto Rican." But Lopez really didn't meet the expectations that a lot of people put on him, and I really think when we look back at his career, we'll see that his best days occured prior to 2011. As young as he is, he's soaked up a lot of punishment. Too much in my opinion. He's a good offensive fighter with solid power, but his defense is really bad and his durability isn't good enough by a long shot to cancel that out like some iron-chinned beasts of the past. He does get dirty sometimes too, I'll agree with you there.

A few very decent world champions being called hype jobs. How is Sergio Martinez a hype job?

And he never fought Caballero, the unified champ, or Gamboa. This just makes it more clear to me, that he is just another regional pawn, promoting job. Reminds me of two white undefeated fighters that are so highly praised on this board.

How can you be classed as a hype job if you have won world titles?

    This is ridiculous.

Anyway, Kirkland springs to mind as does A Force.

When you are thought to be a second Ali or White Tyson, or whatever. Generally if you are ranked much higher than you should have been, mainly due to the hype (TV stations, promotors).

Werent Dawson #3 p4p fighter in the world (that was a poll on ESB), or Williams thought to be the second Tommy Hearns, hype jobs?

he moved up in weight to fight bernard. something bernard likes to do with fighters..

HOWEVER, he got taken to school. His achievements at 160 has been nothing short of fantastic.

Sometimes when you are hot, you should be fighting as much as possible, not training, drinking your ass off and getting depressed.

Yes, he fought much better fighters I agree. However he thought to be at least competetive to some level. Many people thought that he can beat either Pac or PBF. He not only lost to both of them, but was dominated, outclassed and finally brutally KOd.

Theres nothing to blame a fighter to lose, at least he took a risk. :good

Margarito was massively overrated before being exposed by Mosley and found cheating.

Pascal got schooled twice by a 46yo fighter, who could have been his father. Again, there is nothing wrong in the loss to Hopkins, but if you cant beat a 46yo fighter when being in your prime and having the home advantage, then you arent any special.

I think Ward has become a hype ON ESB, not in general, he gets so much nut hugging on here its unreal, to the point where he will 'KO Froch'.
