Hypocrisy & Duplicity Of British Fight Fans : A Thoughtful Analysis

I dare say there seems to be a certain hypocrisy and duplicity amongst British fight fans about certain fights. Namely Hatton, Froch , Haye, Brook, Murray, Macklin amongst others and ofcourse Khan.

Now Khan has always recieved criticism for leaving his promotor Frank W and signing with GBP, People complain that Khan left Frank W early and that Khan should have continued the Hatton/Frank W tradition of fighting tomato cans in the MEN for easy pay days before going to the US. While Khan gets this criticism for leaving his British promotor no criticism was made of Hatton when he did the same thing, Nor did anyone complain about Froch being "disloyal" to Mick Hennessy by signing with Matchroom. The same people that were criticizing Khan never made any criticism of the "disloyalty" of Haye for leaving Frank Maloney or Brook for leaving Frank W and signing with Matchroom, Nor did these same fight fans who condemned Khan for signing with GBP condemn Murray for leaving Hennessy and desperately trying to get on Frank W's gravy train. Perhaps the "British fight fans" should be just as vocal in their condemnation and deplore the "disloyalty" of Froch, Haye, Murray, Brook and co as much as they did vocally condemn Khan?

Wishful thinking? Perhaps, But I do feel that there is a distinct pattern that whatever Khan does is bad in the eyes of the British and whatever any other boxer does is overlooked, Perhaps that is due to Khan dominating British boxing and nobody really cares about the other boxers, Or perhaps its down to deep seated xenophobia, grievance, dislike of Khan because of his origins? Im struggling to understand the reasons behind this.

Nobody ever complains Macklin changing trianers on a weekly basis but Khan leaving someone called Oliver Harrison was clearly very controversial.

Frank did well for Khan and showed him loyalty after the Prescott fight. That's why Khan is seen as disloyal. In the other examples the promoters weren't doing a very good job for the fighters so the fighters moving on harder to criticise.

FYI Haye's contract was running or run out with Maloney and Maloney knew what was going on and was resigned to losing him and allowed him to go on to bigger better things.

So no one can chat any ****...
Froch being Disloyal to Mick :rofl

Frank W didn't want to work with Brook any longer allegedly because of his father :bart...

As for Hatton he was at peak of his powers and wanted to make the big fights.

Tbh i think Khan was always gonna leave in end and wasn't shocked but end of day he wanted to make big fights but his career was different to Hatton's. Hatton wasn't banjo'd in round 1 against a Colombian who no one ever heard of. His career was swung around within 3 fights. So people look at how they like. I personally couldn't give a damn. Frank should of learnt lesson after Naz,Hatton,Calzaghe.

Most of the dislike for Khan among normal fight fans is from his ****ing joke of a team.
I may be relatively new to this forum but i havent seen many of the insults levelled at khan based on his disloyalty to a man who on here is synonmyous with the devil to many. Also i think people like an underdog who doesnt get all the breaks. Khan certainly has done things the easy way, not something i blame him for why not hes only 24 for ****s sake.

Froch will get a pass on basically anything he does because of hows hes got to where he is.

Haye gets so much abuse on here its unreal especially as an underdog brit going to Germany to KO a generally disliked Champ.

Hatton gets tons of **** and hes not even active anymore.

Really dont see what your point is other than trying to insuinate that posters on this forum dont like khan cos hes a jo which simply aint true (for the majority)

Islamophobia does exist, and there maybe a segment of the British non-hardcore Boxing fans who want Khans downfall due to this. I am not sure I see it as much with boxing fans in here, but to deny Islamophobia is niave.

What the **** is this ****? Does anyone even think khan was disloyal?

I hate these nonsense threads where people invent their own reality to suit some daft argument they want to make

    Disgrace of a **** thread

I just read the rest of that post.... Khan 'dominating' British boxing, dearie me

He really isn't such big news you know, most boxing fans are relatively nonplussed about him, he just isn't as good or as exciting or as interesting as you think OP

His fans seem to have the obsession, not his detractors

Khan...... Banjoed in one round by an unknown. After a confidence booster against ***an,

There are, of course some people who dislike Khan because of his race but to dismiss everyone who doesnt like him as racist is lazy thinking & over simplistic.

You really should leave the proud mongolian warrior Macklin out of this
