now whe already have hundreds of debates of who's the best in wich weightclass. If there wasn't an appointed champion, ducking would be even easier, certainly with today's fans' demeanor.

Can you imagine how much chance guys like Golovkin, Kovalev and Rigondeaux would have had to ever fight "the man" if it hadn't been for belts. How about Lennox back in the day? Bowe and Holy would have made up the most ridiculous reasons why they shouldn't have to fight him, and you can imagine him never having had the chance to prove he was the best.

Now, the only way is 1 belt.
Coupled with same day weighins, WADA drugtests and back to 8 weighclasses would be preferable, but sadly these things will probably never happen.
Can you imagine how great HW would be with same day weighins and no CW?! :wooo

Almost every LHW/CW and a couple of SMW's would be added to the HW roster if that happened, like back in the ye olde days :bbb

I don't know for sure that's what he is saying. If so, then no, that wouldn't work. Obviously there needs to be some sort of structure.

I somewhere down the extreme change continuum than you. 1 belt, hells yeah. (although I wouldn't mind 2 of the holders were forced to fight on the regular). I'd rather keep the weight divs as they are now, and I don't mind weigh ins the day before. WADA would be a good step.
