So that automatically means he would have won? Zab can't handle pressure, isn't hard to find and would have gotten careless as always. Tszyu ****s him up in similar fashion he did Mitchell,.

Yeah, but we aren't talking about Zab vs. anyone in this thread are we? We are comparing Cotto's opposition to Hatton's opposition and I'm defining why overall I feel Cotto has fought greater opposition than Ricky. Stay on point. ;)

cotto has never fought a champion or current belt holder, just young green fighters or old over the hill fighters. some of them decent, but i wouldn't say he has a better resume than hatton, they're on a par, but hattons best win (koysta) is better than and old mosely.

Oh yeah, I forgot, look at pictures if you really want to measure a fighters power, how silly of me of listening to the guy that actually took the punch. You should look at the Paulie's pictures after the Cotto fight and compare them with the ones after the Hatton fight.

"as far as [paulie] not throwing his right..." read the interview, I'm not making excuses for anyone, in fact I gave Hatton a lot of props for beating Paulie better than I thought, but it's your word agaisnt the guy that actually fought Hatton. Why would I believe you?

well the punch nearly dropped him and if he hadn't have grabbed hattons legs he would have gone down, and he wobbled him a few times after that, so either hatton does hit fairly hard, or paulies got a china chin, which we know he hasn't. and yes you can see it was a hard punch from the picture in this case actually.

fighters have agendas if you didn't know, and maybe paulies trying to spin it that the reason for losing wasn't hatton dominating him in every department it was because he was worried he would hurt his hand.

Thanks for amplifying the picture now I understand :scaredas:
I hope you do realize that a fighter can go down from a well placed punch and not a hard punch, take for example when Paulie dropped N'dou, I mean not even Cotto managed that... Look, I'm not saying Ricky doesn't hit hard, Paulie did, and unless I'm mistaking, I don't think you've been punch by Ricky Hatton, Paulie has...
I do realize fighters have agendas, but so do fight fans and honestly (because this is not how I post at all) you sound like a pretty biased Ricky fan.

well we'll agree to disagree, but not believeing that the reason paulie lost was because paulie said he was scared to hurt his hand doesn't make me a biased hatton fan.

Fair enough. I really don't have a problem with having to disagree with my fellow boxing fans companions, to be fair consensus on this thread seem to agree more with you than with me :good
After all I was just trying to bring another point of view to the thread that hadn't been brought yet and see what people thought. No harm done, I'll be looking foward to your next posts :thumbsup

i truely for one thinks cotto chin will hold up in either weight than hatton body. urango hasd hatton hurting from the body shot. if urango would of attack the body sooner he probally could have put him out. so im sure cotto would attack the body my thing is if hatton would just stay near his weight and not drank himself up in weight how well will he be then. id woulde love for im to stay in the gym training instead of drinking up to 180 or more. but then again he wont be fatman no more loved that suit.
